Tort Liability
Every tort case has two parts, liability and damages, connected
by the concept of causation. More often than not, cases are complicated
by allegations that the actions of several parties contributed to
the loss. Success in tort law requires the attorney to reduce the
complex to the simple, to prepare experts to testify in a way that
juries can understand and to maintain focus on the core issues.
MHN has successfully tried every type of tort case including suits
for negligence, assault, false imprisonment, intentional infliction
of emotional distress, fraud, nuisance, and trespass.
"Most cases are won during the cross-examination
of the other guy’s witnesses. When you are defending the case,
you had better win the case or at least battled to a tie by the
time the other side rests their case. Otherwise you are in trouble."
